Will the Hawks claw conquer No. 7

The Atlanta Hawks pulled a thrilling performance to win against the Miami Heat in front of their home crowd in Atlanta Georgia. The win cemented the Hawks top most position with only the Celtics and Magic slightly behind them.

The bigger achievement for the Hawks was that they managed to equal the six game winning streak record that was jointly being held by the Lakers and the Blazers. On the other hand, the Heat lost for the very first time while playing away. In their next game, the Hawks, will try to become the first team this season to record a seven game winning streak when they host Houston Rockets.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Indian Pacers five game-winning streak came to crushing end last night. At the Verizon Center, home to the Washington Wizards, the home team overpowered the Cavaliers 108-91. The Pacers lost 110 –103 at the hands of the visiting New York Knicks. Although the Cavs and Pacers lost, when they meet on Friday it will

Will the small teams reign over the big teams in the NBA

A lot of games have been indeed been played since the start of the season but if one was to shortlist some of the best games we have seen so far, then last night performances would definitely have a number in that list. Incidentally all the big games featured the teams, which represent the Eastern Conference.

The Atlanta Hawks set a NBA record for this season with seven straight wins when they defeated the Houston Rockets by one basket 105-103. Who would have imagined the team from Atlanta Georgia could be the one doing this. Its this kind of performance that a team a engraves its name among the game’s elite.

The Hawks have shown that they can withstand pressure, they are consistent and more importantly they believe in themselves. Off the court, when a team that has not been in the limelight suddenly takes over, it’s good for the league because it helps the game grow in areas where it has kept a low profile.

Another sizzling game

Vince Carter Slam Dunk Contest

Vince Carter is a name well known in the world of professional basketball, perhaps most notably for the epic finale of the Vince Carter Slam Dunk Contest which was held in Oakland, California back in 2000. This marked one of the finest and most historic moments in the entire history of basketball.

The All-Star weekend is widely known as one can find information, movies and pictures of it all over the Internet. Indeed, it still has a great deal of interest from fans of the game and of Vince Carter’s amazing basketball achievements. During the match, Vince Carter was playing for the Toronto Raptors, the team which ultimately won. In the game was also his cousin, Tracy McGrady and Steve Francis of the Houston Rockets.

The Slam Dunk Contest of 2000 was Vince’s first attempt at this particular contest which made it even more impressive. Most notably, Vince made the first ever full 360, also windmilling the ball,

227′s Youtube ‘jordan’ #23 – New York Chili’ Knicks-Nba & Air Jordan’ Chicago Bulls

His explosiveness and athleticism helps him to dominate at both ends of the floor, and even though he’s a bit turnover prone at times , he has put up some pretty impressive numbers. Dwayne Wade Wade was drafted with the ninth overall pick by the Heat in 2005. He’s currently the 6th man for the Dallas Mavericks. He’s always been electrifying and athletic and actually outscored Michael Jordan in their first meeting. Tracy McGrady “T-Mac” was drafted with the third overall pick by the 76ers in the 1995 NBA Draft.

Moreover, James led his Cavs to the championship game in 2007. His career had just started to peak, and he was looking more and more like a superstar, when a significant injury changed his career forever. Anfernee Hardaway Drafted with the third overall pick. However, many think of him as somewhat of an underachiever and his passion has come into question before.

Nba Tickets – Final Four Lottery Mock

Highlights of all big plays for the rockets in the 2009-2010 season.

Nba Tickets – Final Four Lottery Mock

Now that most NBA prospects are out of the NCAA Tournament, here is my latest lottery mock draft.  (Note: Draft order determined by record as of March 30th.)

New Jersey Nets – John Wall, Point Guard, Kentucky: It seems that no matter what team lands the number one pick, Wall will be the player taken.  The Nets have Devin Harris, but he’s had a rough season and would simply be traded if the team landed Wall.  Wall is considered to be a can’t-miss prospect that will sell tons of <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/nba-tickets/”>NBA tickets</a>.

Minnesota Timberwolves – Evan Turner, Shooting Guard, Ohio State: Turner has done a lot to cement himself as the consensus number two player in the draft.  As long as his back checks out medically, I’d be surprised to see anyone else taken second overall.  If Minnesota lands the number two pick, it’s

Charlotte Bobcats Ownership Transfers to Legend and Local Son Michael Jordan

Bob Johnsons ownership of the Bobcats team was rocky from the beginning. Since he paid the NBA 0 million for the expansion franchise in 2003, the founder of Black Entertainment Television hasn’t come close to turning a profit because of poor attendance, lagging sponsorship sales and a failed attempt to start a regional sports television network.

The teams attendance averaged just over 14,000 per game and ranked 26th of 30 NBA teams last year.

There has also been some talk that the Mississippi native who does business up and down the Atlantic seaboard has also suffered in Charlotte because he lacks roots in the community. If that is the case, the Bobcats team will benefit from the new leader of the ownership team, Michael Jordan. Minutes before his exclusive negotiating window expired, Jordan struck a deal to take over the money-losing team in his home state.

Johnsons net worth is currently

NBA Tickets – Lottery Mock Draft

A lot of underclassmen have declared for the NBA Draft, so I figured it was as good a time as any to do another mock draft for the lottery.  The draft order was determined by record.  (Note: This article was written on April 28th.)

New Jersey Nets – John Wall, Point Guard, Kentucky: Wall will be the top pick unless Utah or New Orleans wins the lottery; then the pick will either be moved or Evan Turner will go number one.  One might be able to add Minnesota to that group as well.  The Nets have Devin Harris, but he’s not better than Wall and definitely won’t sell as many <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/nba-tickets/”>NBA tickets</a>.  Drafting Wall would allow the team to ship Harris for another asset and build the roster around Wall and Brook Lopez, which is a very nice start.

Minnesota Timberwolves – Evan Turner, Shooting Guard, Ohio
